If I wouldn’t need to factor in shipping it from New Hampshire to Ohio I would be all over this thing.

The money I’ve set aside for finding a scooter would just about cover it alone, and heck it has just a few more horsepower than most scooters I’ve looked at.

We need to have a talk about updating the timestamp on your posts before publishing so I don’t look like an idiot with an hour rule several minutes “after” yours.

Hey, easy now. Hour Rules aren’t life. It’s a common mistake and you can simply move the Hour Rule to drafts for future use.

Crosley is quite cool and very uncommon. Interesting single brake light and dual reflector set up it has going on.

The hour rule had already been up several minutes.

I’m mainly busting his chops. He checked out an XJ for me, the least I can do is be entirely ungrateful and rude.

A byproduct of me taking my sweet time finishing the post. Well, needing an eternity for the photos to load is more like it.

Maybe you need to add a question mark at the end just Incase. We’ll call them Justjeepin’s potentially hour rules.

That’s why I usually have T Minus 3 Minute Rules. Because an embiggened post immediately follows it. Kinda bummed no one saw this picture I took that I was proud of I used for an Hour Rule.

A better reaction would be to find an XJ in New Hampshire and tow the Crosley back for me. I have no idea what the tow rating of an XJ is but the Crosley is under 1200lbs.

I like the way you think, but New England rust? Sorry.

Nonsense, let's road trip it back. I'm only a few hours away meet you there Saturday?

If it were running and driving I would love to do something like that. The route planning would be VERY interesting though. From what I’ve read they’ll do 60 if you’re on perfectly level ground and foot to the floor, but 40-45 is a much happier speed.

Even the Appalachian Mountains May make things interesting.

So get a trailer and road trip. I’d love to see what you can do with it

Running? We just need a downhill route. Start on top of one o' them there mountains and we'll coast from coast to coast!

Yeah, this would fit on a 6x12 U-haul utility trailer.

Originally it would’ve been just the single light. I’m guessing the reflectors were adds in hopes of making it at least slightly more visible.

Unfortunately this would be at about the top of what I could spend on its own. My actual timeline to get a toy car is still 3 years or more out.

If it was within 200 miles I could make it work.  Just the added cost for gas to go 800+ miles each way plus a trailer rental pushes the total price too far.

Probably. They look like those stick on kind you put on mailboxes that are close to the road.

I go by it a few times per year, whenever I bring my mom to her medical appointments . I have often wondered if it was sal vageable or too far gone.

They’re such simple cars that unless the frame is rotted out they can typically be saved. For all we know though the body may be more bondo than metal.

My guess is that it was a working vehicle for the service station, which has been in business for 113 years, and retired for something larger. Purely speculating, but being in NH, I can’t imagine that the road salt has not taken it’s toll on the poor little Crosley.

At the least it would’ve made a really cool vehicle to take in local parades as an advertising piece.

Being at a shop they either ran it into the ground themselves or decided to stick it on a pole after a customer told him to junk it after getting a repair quote they couldn’t justify/afford.

Much better and safer for all concerned than trying to drive this thing cross country.
